They're building what in Menlo Park?!

Menlo Park is bringing in some exciting new developments to the Bay's Peninsula! With Menlo Park being home to Facebook, its plans to expand is something you cannot miss, literally!

The proposed project that exists on the 59 acre site will now be divided into THREE subdistricts: a town square, residential/shopping and a campus district. I don't know about you, but I can't wait to take a stroll through here, let alone the 4 acre public park once its done!

The town square and residential/shopping districts would include the proposed multifamily dwelling units, hotel, publicly accessible open space and the majority of the non-office commercial uses. The campus district would contain 1,250,000 square feet of offices and accessory/conference space for Facebook and a portion of the non-office commercial/retail, which would be located along the ground floor of the office buildings on the main street and open to members of the public. It would also comprise of 1,729 housing units and over 4 acre public park.

Like most cities along the peninsula, El Camino real and the downtown area is going through significant changes. There aren’t too many massive projects but you can continue to expect to see condos/apartments/mixed-used space along the street.

This is a Below Market Rate Housing agreement with approximately 105 multi-family dwelling units. It is required to have 15 percent be affordable otherwise, there are penalties.
